Gregory Fulkerson may not be the biggest name in the violin business, but he sure plays like it. Here's one set of Sonatas and Partitas that positively revels in the music's virtuoso challenges, and comparisons to those classic sets by Grumiaux and Milstein come immediately to mind. In his very useful and intelligent notes, Fulkerson acknowledges the contributions of the period instrument movement to his understanding of the music, but fortunately there's nothing at all pedantic or self-conscious about his approach. The "big movements", such as the great D minor chaconne or the C major suite's enormous fugue, strike the right balance between bigness of scale and forward impetus, and his intonation never wavers for a moment. The dance movements (check out the first Partita's Corrente and its presto Double) have an infectious rhythmic lilt, and Fulkerson clearly knows how to make his instrument sing Bach's long-limbed lyrical melodies, as in the second sonata's Andante, or the Third's Largo.
The recording places the instrument well back from the microphone, and achieves a remarkably realistic, room-filling impression. It also allows Fulkerson to display his full dynamic range, from a whispered pianissimo to a grandly powerful forte. At two discs for the price of one, this set easily takes its place among the elite versions of these musical monuments to the expressive qualities of the violin.

老兄收片范围太广了，这几个作曲家都没有听过。

克利斯通的第二号小提琴协奏曲是写给拉宾的，在DOREMI公司的拉宾专辑里有录音，大陆现在有售。罗伊哈里斯的小提琴协奏曲也算是美国现代音乐中著名的一部作品了。

要谈小提琴作品，那就落入了水兄的领域里了

最近听了这个演绎的非常优美，录音也好，也不是新人了。

这版应该可以的，首版LP价格和克莱默差不多的。

克莱默PH那一版我不是太喜欢，单纯听一段都很好，但整体在一起，我感觉就有点零乱。

克莱默两套小无我感觉不太好，就是兄台说的，有点乱。
小无名版很多，有一版东德苏斯克的我比较喜欢。但最喜欢的还是DG米尔斯坦这套。

苏斯克的没听过，以他在贝四重奏的表现，应该很好；DG米尔斯坦的我也很喜欢，实际上凡是米尔斯坦拉的巴赫小无我都喜欢，包括ORFEO，BRIDGE，还有那场最后的音乐会，他老人家好像没有失手过。

真巧，今天刚收了套艾乃斯库的巴赫小无，刚拆封，还没开声；一会回家听。
