Polymer Logic Mk. 2 is the updated version of the now discontinued Polymer Logic with a long list of refinements. Built on a completely new platform that is the result of continuous research in materials and resonance control. Mechanical distortion is reduced to a level that is at the limit of the measuring capability of instruments.
Most listeners find that the Logic Mk. 2 transports them into the recording studio where the original event took place. This loudspeaker has incredible energy and fills even very large rooms with effortless dynamics. It is capable of perfectly recreating massive, thunderous crescendos. And yet, reveals the natural and rich harmonic bloom and delicate textures of instruments. Music just sounds more vivid and has more vitality. And of course it has the enormous and atmospheric soundstage that Polymer Audio loudspeakers are known for. At the heart of this loudspeaker is a pure diamond cone midrange (not just diamond dust or particles, but a solid, 100% pure diamond cone) mounted on a heavily damped structure composed of multiple layers of materials. This midrange is suspended in a separate floating enclosure that is immersed in a liquid viscoelastic compound that remains liquid for the life of the product. This means that none of the enormous energy being generated by the dual 9” woofers reaches the midrange driver during delicate music playback. This system also has a unique new crossover that allows steep slopes but limits the overall component count, which is key for musical purity. The crossover network is made from pure copper foil and no film is used. This is the most authentic approach and leads to a lifetime of reliable use.
